I have worked at Conde Nast Traveller magazine since its launch in 1997. I previously worked on national newspaper magazines,The Observer, launched The Independent Saturday magazine and launched The Financial Times magazine each of which won international acclaim for the commissioning and use of photography. In the 16 years since Traveller launched, the magazine has won countless awards for its distinctive photography, covering lifestyle, food and drink, portraiture, interiors and stunning locations and landscapes. I have worked with some of the best-known photographers in the world and have also spent much of my professional career encouraging new talent. I am a member of the World Press Photo Masterclass nominating committee and The Young Photographers Alliance assessing the work of young photographers and recommending individuals for participation in the mentoring programmes.

In addition to my editorial career I have also worked on many high-profile advertising campaigns for Leo Burnett, Ogilvy, JWT, McCann and projects for design groups Spring Studios Six Creative, Pentagram and Vince Frost Design. I am a regular judge on several of the most prestigious photographic competitions in the world including, the Kontinent Awards, HIPA, Travel Photographer of the Year, Sony world Photography Awards, British Life Photography Awards inaugurated this year, London Olympic City 2012 Mayor of London Photography Awards, AOP, Amnon Bar Tur Award, Azerbaijan Through the Lens, the Private Jet Awards, CBRE, John Kobal Portrait Award and others.
